Forbidden Tibetan Students
Hello Monica,
Good morning!! I saw the campaign words from Altvoices on our campaign board. On behalf of Forbidden Students, i would like to express my gratitude for the support.
We are a small group of Tibetan Students who came to Taiwan during the turn of millenium under Taiwanese govt.( Mongolian and Tibetan affairs commission) policy to pursue our further study here in Taiwan. As overseas Tibetans, we started to learn mandarin from zero level. We had had hard times coping with the life in Taiwan especially with the language and thus during our fresher's year and sophomore, we failed to retain all the academic credits required. Eventually, we were left with no choice only to extend our academic year which is very common to most of the overseas chinese students who are well versed in chinese from the begining.
Now the Ministry of foreign affairs (MOFA) is being harsh on us forbidding us to reenter Taiwan to finish our studies. We the forbidden students feel its a sheer violation of human right and especially as a Tibetans who are already international refugee and are being deprived off many rights that the people of identity and Nation do.
We now wanted to heard internationally.. so i would like to request your help to let it heard so that our basic rights be returned and the unjust treatments be justified.
please check our site: www.akupema.net for more details Or contact us. We really need your help.
Thank you.
Regards,
Pema
