Writings On The Wall
I love this article and the great photos. I didn't realise how potent the street art scene in Taiwan and Asia is becoming - my research into graffiti in Japan seemed to show that there was almost none until the US influence really started to kick in. It then became about trying to mimic and achieve the American ideal, rather than subverting socety - conformity through commodified rebellion, if you will.
I wonder how much this is the case in Taiwan, if at all?

Re: Writings On The Wall
You two have both done interesting pieces on graffiti and street art! It's good to know that people use these means constructively to express opinions. They may not have any other voice. Unfortunately here in Cali the graffiti never gets any more interesting than "Red Baron South", or other such fascinating football slogans, and these people really could do with some kind of constructive outlet for genuine political expression!
