Next AMEC Meeting and go-kart races July 14th !!!
The next Monthly AMEC meeting will be held Monday, July 14th, at Checkers Out Speedway go-kart track, Route 30A, Johnstown.
Get there by 6PM to be in a 50 lap race!
You must buy a membership license ($10 per person) and $15 per person to race. (It is best if we get 10 or more members to participate).
After the race, you can buy a choice of light foods to eat such as hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza etc.
At 7:30pm, we will hold the AMEC meeting and if we get done early enough, we can race more for another entry fee.
I don't know if you need to bring a helmet but bring it to be sure.
Our regular monthly meeting place the Rainbow Restaurant will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays in July. Special thanks go out to Bryon Seyfried for setting up the go-kart track meeting place for July!!

Info for Checkers Out Speedway:
Checkers Out Speedway is an indoor go kart track open year round, and is located about ¾ of a mile south of Johnstown, NY, on NYS Route 30A.
Physical address: 2299 State Hwy 30A Johnstown, NY 12905. Track phone: 518 736-4630
Can anyone give any additional details regarding directions? I know that it is on the right hand side of the 30A when I come up from Fonda. I missed it the first time I went there. Can anyone think of any land marks to help out first timers?

The guys all had a great time last night at the Go Kart track!! Stephen ,Bill,and Jr yakked about it all the way home...Lot's of Laughing!
Sorry if I got into a few of you guys last night,I kept trying to get my nose on that inside line...the brakes on those things are nothing special.

Thought about going myself, but went to the Monster Truck show at the Valley instead
Had an all access pass, went in the pit area, met the drivers, and of course shot some photos!
