Saturday at 9 am. is when judging starts for the open show. Sunday at 1pm for juniors. I just got home from the fair and numbers are down. Only 177 pigeons. First time in history there were no Indians entered.

I was just hoping you changed your mind Alan ! 
I think any show pulling in a 100 birds is good . At least a good start ! Me personally, I like the shows who have a lot of variety to them , meaning different breeds . I personally don't want to look at 500 birds of one breed . BUT, I would want 500 birds to compete against, if I was the champion bird ! So really it depends why your there I guess .
I just read in the Purebred Pigeon magazine of a pigeon show in Germany that brings in 70,000+ pigeons for a show ! It boost 100,000 people walk thru their doors to see this show ! I just sat there in awe after reading this statement ....could you even imagine ?!

I hear you Steve , I'm just getting my breeding going ! This will not be a young bird show year for me at all . Life has just been to busy & a late start .I finally plugged in my incubator ,I have spent the last 3 days trying to get it to adjust to that perfect degree ,not an easy task let me tell you what !
Our first lawn show is next month , I have nothing to show except very young Gads . It's also our yearling show ,all my yearlings are in the breeder coop as of now . I hope I can some birds ready for early fall.

I believe it's more of an end than a start. This show used to have 2-3 times as many Pigeons, every year there's less and less
