Here's one that's nearly as good as the game:

"You'll NEVER guess who I've just seen!"

Now I cheat at this... I keep the person on video surveillance and I don't even have to guess - I KNOW who they've just seen by viewing the footage!

Anyhow... I digress...

When someone want a response from you and they say:

"I'll give you three guesses"

Now how cr*p's that?

It's hardly a genie giving you three wishes is it?

Wouldn't it be better than to give 'three possible answers' instead... kind of a multiple choice?

And anyhow - a 'guess' is an estimate... a supposition... a 'possible outcome' - so it's not really something that can be 'given' now is it?

By heck - I'm looking TOO deep into this... I'd best take a couple of paracetamol and beggar off to bed!

Hi there- just discovered this forum- very much tickles my sense of humour.

I don't know if this a Yorkshire thing- I've lived here for erm about 15 years now, but they call a fish and chip shop a fish shop, so if you want to buy some raw fish etc, you go to the "wet fish shop" which always kinda cracks me up. To me a fish shop means this "wet fish" lol and a chip shop for the fried variety.

Yep - 'Wet Fish' has also made me lol a few times... have you heard of 'Henry Root'?

If not, have a look on 'Google' for it - and for 'Root Into Europe' - he introduces himself thusly:

"Henry Root - Wet Fish!"
