The plastic thingy infuses the brew with tiny nitrogen bubbles and gives it that fresh tapped look. Just had one a little while ago.

I find the plastic thingy annoying, makes the bottles and cans rattle.

Thanks Skokey for fixing my avatar! I did have the original, but this site calls for a url - had to use my avatar at Winni.com. If I change it over there now, will it change here too?
On a side note, we almost moved to Bennington 17 years ago. The home failed our inspection. Not too good for being brand new! Bennington is a lovely town. I still miss the Powder Mill restaurant. Is Alberto's still in Antrum?
Thanks again!

Use the URL that I sent you for here. Unless your other forum is a Runboard.com forum, it will only change here.
The Powder Mill Pond restaurant never re-opened, but Alberto's, ("Bat's" as the locals call it) is still alive and well. "Best food by a dam site." For those who don't know, it is located next to a small power dam on the Contoocook, and that slogan is on their sign. Bat's is actually in Bennington.
Crotched Mtn. ski area re-opened three years ago and has been doing well. I live just walking distance from it. Been here for 21 years. Only the West side in Bennington is operating. The East side in Francestown is still shut down.

SKOKEY:
I've been skiing at Crotched Mt. many moons ago. I was glad to hear that it re-opened. You live in a very beautiful area!
I wanted to thank everyone for helping me "christen" this little forum. Almost 100 posts in this thread! Sure seems like it's working fine and Happy Hour was fun. And, apparently, no one got arrested for drunk driving!

(RLW1: I'd be surprised if there was any beer left over. I think we drank it all!)
