NEW DOCK?

Becky writes over on the Sunset and Hills Blog:
quote:

I think I need a new dock, or a new back. Even with the pulley
system, it still has to get wrestled out over the hill and bank.
Some kind of steps that stay in place, like building some
naturally out of stone might be a good idea too. Right now it
is pressure treated wood...the frame work, or base is one piece,
the top sections another. I keep making it last another year,
but looking very beat up this spring. Any suggestions? I know
aluminum, but it looks to "unlake-like"to me. Do they make
whole docks out of those yellow things they have at the swim
beaches? I'm only using it to hang out on and fish with the
kids, and tie off light stuff....row boat , paddle boat, kayak,
etc. My back and I would appreciate any suggestions! Thanks

Any Ideas?

Re: NEW DOCK?

Any pics of the situation ? I'm envisioning a tiltup frame with removable deck pieces. What exactly is the problem ? If the tilting is the problem then perhaps a better block'n'tackle or winch (electric) is the answer. If it's hauling the decks away ... hmmm .... could they be made smaller and thus lighter (though more numerous)?
