Animated gif

I just spotted this pic that Apogee animated. Was that done from a single still shot or did you have 18 frames where you only animated the falls?

emoticon Is this supposed to be somebody flaming?
Hi Skokey:
Apogee stole that still photo off of the Crystal Lake webpage and did his thing. He also did the fading belknap lakes with Straightback Mt. in background at the top of this page. I'll give him a holler. He can tell you himself. He usually hangs out

I haven't heard from Apogee yet but I wanted to try making some water in motion with the software that I have. I borrowed this photo from me-n-mac at the Lake Winni site.

Hey McDude I resemble that, i never stole a thing in my life. emoticon .Skokey i created that using an app called Nature Studio. http://www.filesland.com/companies/Nufsoft/Nature-Illusion-Studio.html
Mine is a (ahem) borrowed copy. Are you familiar with Rapidshare? I could send you a link to download it via email. I don't think McDude would want me to post it here.

Re: Animated gif

I just checked out the web site. It looks like it's not available for macintosh, which is what I have.

I did mine with photoshop and imageready by adding some noise to the water and applying different levels of motion blur. Then convert the frames into a gif animation.

Well....as long as it is borrowed....that's fine....that's a completely different thing!

Skokey:
You do know that Mee-n-Mac and "The Knife" are acquainted with one another?

BTW: Apogee: I have received a lot of very favorable comments on the Crystal Lake Dam animated photo (that damn animated photo!)
