I made it this far Hello
Why is this forum better than the other?
Can I post pictures without having a website?
Will this forum be linked to Belknap Lakes websites forum icon(using it now brings you to the other forum)?
just asking

Hey Bob and R "O" W....thanks for signing on so I could see how this works....I think it's looking good! Thanks!

RLW - did you try R*L*W or -RLW- or (RLW) or something like that. It's not right that you are ROW

Why is this better? Well you can post new topics and the people from the other lakes have their own space. You have to admit that it was only Hills and Sunset people on the other forum and someone from a different lake may have been hesitant to jump in. Any you know how grouchy we can get sometimes!

Regretfully you cannot directly upload a photo. You must capture the url of the image and then hit the [img] and [\img] button (see above). What you can do is upload the photo to the quicktopic board and upload it. Then left click and go to properties and highlight the url and save. Then you come back here and use the [img] buttons and insert the url. Like this...here is the photo that RLW recently posted on quicktopic

Image

and another thing... this is FREE!!!!

to be continued.....but one more thing....see the "applaud" and 'smite" buttons? You can give karma points depending upon whether you liked what someone posted or not.

Gotta Go - McD

I'm Back

P.S.
Did I say, "It's FREE!! :escher: ???

So Bob, I did change the tabs to your left on the webpage. The old forum, I am now calling the BLOG since it is a one-post-at-a-time kind of thing. And it will stay there so that people can use it to upload photos. I can't change anything on the main Belknap Lakes portal because that is on a server in New Orleans. DRH helped me launch that. It was the first time I bought a domain name! We'll have to fix that.

I was prompted to do this because some folks from the old Wolfeboro ON-LINE invited me to join them when they started a new forum using runboard. Check it out. It's pretty cool. The guy who did most of the work on launching and customizing the board was JScott. He doesn't know it yet, but I am going to beg him for help with a few questions I have. Here it is
WOLFEBORO OFF-LINE DISCUSSIONS

One question I need to figure out is how to make you two guys official forum moderators!!

McD :p

Great Site!

McD you did it again. I know you put a lot of effort into this and it shows. :holy:

With the winter we have had so far and no time to get up there I have been really missing the whole lakes region. The new Belknap Lakes site will be great I am sure.

I know I will get more time to explore upon my return from FL.

Re: WELCOME

Hi all,

This site works, it's nice to have some more flexibility than the straight blog affords us. In response to Sunset Bob's question on the blog about the number of houses on the lake, I just went back through my photos, and I counted adjoining lots/houses (there are a couple of lots I counted without houses on them). I also counted the mysterious house on the hill near Sunset's Bobs and the Island, but not the houses across the street from the public beach and the houses in the back of the dam development.
