progress is being made at last!

hi just wanted to put a message on here about how things are changing at the club and as a fan its good to see things are starting to look bright for the bloaters and good to see new faces and some of the old ones back but will be good to get a few more new players in or maybe get a few old ones back and good to see a few of the youth players now trying to earn a spot rather then playing just because we have no option i am sure its tough to take but this is how the ladder is start at the bottom to work your way up then earn the right to wear the shirt and any rumours of players in or out as i think we need a old head at the back (not vinny) and could do with a few more attcking options. any views?

well not sure about damo as I don’t think he is any better then what we have and plus was thinking more on the lines of some of the younger players who has left recently and I must say I have seen alot of them are playing across the river putting on a green shirt and great to see Elliot pride involved with things as I feel that he was not given the chance with nick in and more to the point the current goal keeper and does any one know if any body in the club are scouting about in the ang com or even the borough league cos even at the bottom of the ladder there are some great players with great ability.

say what you like about damo, top scorer last season in a struggling side, played with his heart on his sleeve. what you see is what you got played for the club not for the money like alot of players will be now and in the future. and was well liked about the place. up the bloaters

it was not a question about ability or anything else for that matter just that i dont think bringing him back is a good move as he can play 90 minutes some where else why come here and maybe not play at all.

I would like to agree with fat paul and think progress is being made. Yarmouth look like scoring when attacking with Crawey and Roachey playing better together in every game. Recent signings of Stevie Taylor and Adam Sullivan to the club have made the midfield more creative. With the reserves and u18s pushing for places healthy competition in any club must be good and encouraged, well done.

I beg to differ Fantastic Four, there is no healthy competition. After two big defeats, 5-0 and 5-1 i believe not so long ago amongst other losses there has been no change to the first team, how does this kind of behaviour fair to players who turn out week in week out for the reserves, pay exspenses to travel to games and will never have an insight into the next level of football when players are brought in and leap frog the reserves, can someone please explain as i find it hard to see why GYTFC has a reserves team?

i understand where you are coming from paul ince but there have been some changes in the club with the new owner coming in and new faces will be coming for the whole system (first team, ressies and youth) and this will take time it could take another season it needs time to settle so players come in and go out and then it will settle as i do belive players from the ressies and youth should be rewarded with a spot on the bench and then push on from there but only if players are performing at a good level consistently as i think its been a while since some one at the club has had some real ambition and the clout to back it up and with people like dale g and others there will be so much to learn and time for people to progress at the club, why not as we are a good club at a good level but there is always room for impprovement right to bottom form right to the top.
