Teams Next Season......
Hi Guys,
I was wondering what the plans were for next season? I've heard a rumour that Hanham are folding, Bishopston are folding (Div 2)? Also, does anyone know of any new teams looking to enter into our fellowship?
Can anyone confirm or deny these rumours?

Re: Teams Next Season......
There was some talk that Pip n Jay might put in an additional team but with the deadline being so much earlier this year they will have to get their skates on.
Odds on that both divisions will be 10 team leagues.
--- Won a few things the game has to offer but only still playing cos I sleep with the man who picks the team.

Re: Teams Next Season......
Got to try and bring in more and keep all the teams at the same time to build up a big league of 2 divisions because if you had 14/15 teams in each division it would really attract a lot more people i believe but also it would add more competition and make the season last a bit longer!!!! which would benefit the bcfa i beleive but anyway who listens to me!!!!!!!

Re: Teams Next Season......
I dont think that it would work if we had more than about 10 teams in each league... It's a huge struggle to get all the fixtures in before the pitches get converted into cricket grounds as it is.
We were talking about the idea of having 3 divisions in last year's AGM because there were possibly going to be upward of 25 teams around. I think you'll find that we'll be staying at two divisions of 10(ish) for the time being.

Re: Teams Next Season......
Well why not start the season in august like a lot of leagues do then you would have may, june, to rest with pre season for most clubs in july i agree it would be difficult but first of all you have to have a lot more teams as well added give it a few seasons who knows!!!

Re: Teams Next Season......
If the league starts in August then you can count out us students... we only kick off our season half way through Sept anyway! I quite like the league the way it is.
