Refs...again!
Just had our second ref drop out on us for Saturday. Anybody got any ideas? If you have my number please give me a bell as I'll be out some of the evening. Cheers guys.

Nightmare Dave.
Its all very well having the first game in Bath but if you are a Bristol based team and only know Bristol based refs then its a nightmare.
We've always been lucky in the last 3 years in that we have been the away team when down in Bath.
I have unfortunately given all my options to Nath but none of them were any good I am afraid.

I sympathise with you Dave. I finally managed to get one last night, but it took a bit of ringing random people in the GFA handbook to get him.
I tried one guy who we used a couple of times last season (wasn't very good, but I was desperate), who said he could do it. When I told him we were out in Bath, he said, "Oh, sorry. I've got no way of getting out there."
I'd recommend going for refs who live in South Bristol/Keynsham. Unfortunately, I'm guessing all the Bath refs don't affiliate with the GFA. Maybe you could try phoning a Bath-based team (Widcombe, Hayhill, Freedom) and seeing who they use, or getting some numbers off them?
For the record:
Pete McGillan (I think this is Thornbury's normal ref) has been snapped up by Pip n Jay.
Simon's other suggestion is on holiday.
Pete Belcher is busy on Saturday.
Steve Martin can't get to Bath.
I could also give you about 5 other refs from the GFA handbook who can't do it. Not much use to you, I know.......
