Nailsea in goal frenzy!
Nailsea took on Cotswold in their third and final pre season firendly. With a host of players missing and no manager or keepers Nailsea were still able to field a team that left John lansdown on the bench.
Nailsea started of the the stronger attacking from the start and created some good half chances. However Cotswold were very quick on the break and the movement of their front two were a handful and 20 mins into the match took the lead when we failed to clear our lines. However we soon equalised when Will Bradbury brilliantly controlled a long ball played wide out right, he turned cut inside the defended, shaped to shoot with his left but dragged the ball back on to his right and from 25 yards thundered one into the roof of the net, top drawer stuff.
However poor defending (will hold my hands up) led to cotswood scoring a second and poor defending at a corner left us 3-1 at half time, should have been 3-2 but Will put a hlaf chance over.
Despite playing 3 different keepers in the second half, Nailsea dominted, new signing Neil Faulkner swapping the keeper jersy for a run up front caused all sorts of problems and it was good to see Kelvin Hall showing signs of form. Kelv was hacked down in the penalty box and converted the penalty for 3-2. Despite dominating the second half, some top drawer goalkeeping kept us at bay. There were strong performances throughout and it was one of the best 45 minutes Nailsea have played in along time.
We created far more chances than we did in the previous two games and all being well we will carry this into the season.

quality again me midfield didnt do badly then in the second half i went to full back notice they didnt score while i was in defence. i also probably got nutmeg of the season sold him a sausage

so why when talking on msn did you tell me you didn't do that well in midfield. Nutmeg! what game were you playing the only nutmeg i recall is the one iwenttoistanbul sold you last week, certainly no one else mentioned it.

didnt do well in midfield when i had the ball without it i was poor did nothing. i got the nicest nutmeg ever you were in goal while it was going on when i was left back in the corner you can ask will or andy or john lnasdown as they were very close to me when it happened
