End of season predictions....

OK, with a new season less than a week away it's time to get the big predictions out of the way. Be prepared for this thread to come back and bite you on the arse after you lose your three-point home banker because your three best players are on wedding/babysitting/wife/birthday/holiday duty (delete as appropriate). Don't know much about the teams in Div 1 but I'll give it a go...

1 - BSXI
2 - Baps
3 - Christchurch
4 - Woodies
5 - Slip
6 - Widcombe
7 - P&J
8 - Hayhill
9 - Rock
10 - Sanctuary

Think the time has come for BSXI to snatch the title but it'll be close. Good showing from two of the promoted sides with Hayhill struggling from lack of physicality and inconsistent availability. Losing Brett will be a big loss for P&J (though I understand Greg is returning). Rock to struggle as per last season and Sanctuary's result yesterday didn't inspire confidence.

So, Div 2! Not going to include the new boys as I haven't got a clue what they're like...

1 - Santos
2 - SAS
3 - Nailsea
4 - Hope
5 - BUCU
6 - Welstock
7 - Widcombe

Have to predict us to win it simply because as a good manager I need to show faith in my players. SAS started looking like a really good unit last season and assuming they can get a regular team out will be tough to beat. Nailsea's burgeoning squad should compensate for problems in front of goal and it looks like Kelv may be fit for the whole season. Hope are possibly the best footballing side in the Div but have similar goalscoring probs to Nailsea. Very difficult to know what BUCU will be like - with the right intake of tax-dodgers they cuold run away with it, but they didn't look too hot last season. Welstock and Widcombe to battle it out to avoid the wooden spoon with Welstock just pipping it.

With more games in Div 2 this year I think consistency of selection and squad size will play an even bigger part than usual. Not best pleased about this.

Feel free to tell me how wrong I am.

I would go along with that. If we don't win it we'll only have ourselves to blame.

If you keep picking and choosing the weeks you are available to play i guess you'll have a better chance. emoticon

Cheeky!! At least we're guarenteed 6 points against Woodies no matter who we have out, even if the Gaffer plays!! emoticon

Re: End of season predictions....

I think its VERY POOR show of BSXI calling the game off SO early this year. I recon it should not be aloud.

BSXI must have a very small squad this year as this game has been called off, or running scared.

So poor...tut tut.

A little harsh there Ollie. Not far off with your first reason, miles away with your second. We gave you much more than the three weeks notice we had to,so why shouldn't it be allowed?.Unfortunately half our team is unavailable ,its as simple as that.I think our second game against you clashes with the GFA so we could end up having a title decider or two at the end of the season, much more exciting don't you think. No disrepect meant to anyone elses chances by the way.
