Predictions - 2nd Sept Division Two
For some reason there are only three games on the opening day of the season with Widcombe and BUCU probably postponed due to the tax dodgers still being on holiday. For the other games:
SAS United v Nailsea
This is probably the game of the day - Nailsea are a hard team to beat and SAS were looking strong at the end of last season.
Prediction: 3-2
VCF Santos v Hope FC
Santos are not renowned for doing well on the opening day of the season, but I think we'll be too strong for Hope and narrowly edge it. The battle for this game will be in midfield, especially as Nathan has joined them and he's a very good player.
Prediction: 2-1
Welstock FC v Freedom Centre Bath
Almost impossible to predict as no-one seems to know anything about Freedom Centre, the new kids on the block. As they are a new team they won't have had time to gel, and Welstock will be hoping for a good start to the season so they may just sneak a win.
Prediction: 1-0

Re: Predictions - 2nd Sept Division Two
SAS 1-1 Nailsea
Santos 3-1 Hope
Welstock 2-1 Bath
Nailsea and SAS to have a ding dong battle royale. Nailsea's striking problems mean they have to settle for a draw. Santos to gain a fairly comfortable win against Hope (one player doesn't make a team). Don't know much about Bath, but I think they've been together for at least a year. Still backing Welstock to get off to a winning start though.
--- Won everything the game has to offer, except BCFA Div 1 Championship, BCFA Div 2 Championship, BCFA Cup, BCFA Shield, GFA Cup and Golden Boot

Re: Predictions - 2nd Sept Division Two
For both Nailsea and SAS that is a rough start to the season playing each other. Both teams have potential to do very well this season.

Re: Predictions - 2nd Sept Division Two
SAS United v Nailsea
Well, with me being absent, i'm hoping that the boys will perform well. Any result will be fantastic against a very good Nailsea side.
Prediction: Too close
VCF Santos v Hope FC
Another cracking opening dayer. Santos to edge it i feel though.
Prediction: 3-2
Welstock FC v Freedom Centre Bath
'Who are ya, who are ya'?!?!
Know nothing about these boys so i'll go for an entertaining match.
Prediction: 2-2

Re: Predictions - 2nd Sept Division Two
Santos 3 - 2 Hope
Much more concerned about this game than I was a week ago. A couple of new signings for Hope will make a big difference to an already good team. Predicting a one goal winning margin because I've got to expect three points, but I wouldn't be too disappointed with a draw.
SAS 3 - 2 Nailsea
Should be a corker. SAS should clinch it with their extra firepower but another game that could go either way.
Welstock 1 - 5 FC Bath
Not sure why. Sorry Lenny.

Re: Predictions - 2nd Sept Division Two
SAS 1-2 Nailsea
Santos 4-1 Hope
Welstock 1-3 Bath
Taking a risk here in predicting a win for the new boys. SAS v Nailsea will be close, very possibly a draw but I always like to predict a winner so Nailsea to just edge it for me. As for Santos I think they will be far too strong for Hope.

But struggling this season.

Re: Predictions - 2nd Sept Division Two
The Army 1-1 Nailsea
Good Nailsea defence but not great strike force.
Brazil 5-1 Hope
Brazil will win Div 2 comfortably.
Welstock 1-4 Bath
Have a feeling that they will be quite good. Harder tests to come for them though.
--- Dan Flynn – good left foot, gives the simple pass and doesn’t dwell on it either which is what you need for that position.

Re: Predictions - 2nd Sept Division Two
No pressure Davo - Santos to win by anything from 2-1 to 5-1 - thats a hard target to reach.
But I'd just love it if we beat em'
Even more so with our new signing snatched from under their noses - quality player.
As for our other new signings - well thats for us to know and Davo to worry about - sleep well Dave.
A new season - A new hope!!!!!
Well apart from the old git in the goal - it really is about time they traded him in for a newer younger model, with go faster stripes and spoiler !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I won't make any predictions - they are always wrong anyway.
The Tef.

Re: Predictions - 2nd Sept Division Two
SAS United v Nailsea
SAS have a good forward line, but they will come up against the mighty defence of FLF, Mike W, Tim and Mike Wood. Pretty sure we have most players available tomorrow, so should be a strong side.
3-1 win for Nailsea with new boy Neil Faulkner (if playing) scoring twice and Danny Hewlett.
VCF Santos v Hope FC
Hope have made a great signing in Nathan and came good near the end of last season. We all know that Santos is strong throughout.
2-2 result
Welstock FC v Freedom Centre Bath
Welstock have got better and better with an energetic young side. A difficult pitch up there exposed to the elements. Bath is a bit of an egg chaser town, but this is a bit of a derby so will be tight.
Welstock to win 4-1, with yer big strong fella up front bagging a hat-trick.
…………..and finally
Bristol City 3 Brighton 0 (Revenge is sweet)
