Poor turn out at training last night. Only 7 of us. emoticon Looks like the starting line up on Saturday will feature me, Paul, Witcher, Pete, Phil C and Kirby (Mark/Wardrobe was the other person present). Lots of people fighting for the remaining 5 places. On the plus side, the pitches are very nice. It's that new style astro that they have at Pro5 with the black bits. Only one other group of people playing too, so we could probably get away with using a half pitch if we get more people.

Lessons learnt from training:
1. Goading players into shooting often backfires. (How many times have we seen Kirby scoring with his left foot?!?)
2. Bigging yourself up often backfires. (After scoring a couple of goals left footed to the surprise of Kirby, "I'm quite good with my left foot actually John." Next shot went wide, too high and over the fence. emoticon )
3. Paul abuses his management powers to bend the rules in favour of his team. emoticon That ball had so crossed the line.

How many times have we seen him shoot straight with either foot would be an equally taxing question.
