Another poor show from The 'Slip boys at training tonight. 10 people there, 1 who has played for The 'Slip once (last season), 2 of which can't play football (someone is bound to comment that that's not Kirby's fault) and have never played for The 'Slip before, 3 people that are usually on the bench, so how are we meant to train as a team when only 4 regulars turn up??!!

Turpin's excuse was he had to go and see the missus in Cardiff. Do it another night moron.

Beano apparently 'went out'.

Best bit of training was afterwards when we were walking to cars - after playing in very light drizzle and getting sweaty, Lil'Chris walks to car with an umbrella up!

lol, well funny with the umbrella. Poor turn out. Time to get tough Paul. People (except me) started getting slack at the end as fitness dropped. We need to do more cardio stuff.

Poor effort indeed. I spent an hour and a half in A&E last night. Had an x-ray on my toe (not broken - phew!). Instead, they offered to put a hot needle through the toenail on my big toe. emoticon I took them up on the offer emoticon and found to my surprise that it didn't hurt at all. However, the nurse then started squeezing my toe and lots of blood came out of the hole, and that hurt like hell. The end result is that my toe is not really any less painful today than it was yesterday, but the swelling has definitely gone down.

I've got to REC for a few days now - Rest, Elevate (tricky at work) and Cool (also tricky at work). I do have a nice cooling pad thing that you stick in the freezer, but it doesn't freeze rigid - stays cold but is supple. It's in the shape of a cow's head which is cool..... emoticon

Anyway, I'm definitely out of Saturday's game. emoticon

Well it did stop him from playing against Derby and someone else I think. Plus he had the benefit of cortisone injections. If Paul can get hold of some of them, maybe I could still make it. However, I doubt he can. I'm sure he could get hold of plenty of other drugs, but I doubt the average dealer in Knowle West has much call for cortisone....
