personally I miss the WnC slip strike partnership. come on ash - get better! Not a bad game today, although it was slippery and passing didn't seem too great. Unfortunate yellow for Beano after Sinc's shouting. But don't worry sincs - we'd all have done the same if we'd got stamped on. I thought the ref was very good til the last 15 mins.

Kirby, you talk rubbish. I'm sorry, but the way Ben tackles with studs up I don't have any sympathy for him if he gets injured. Our player did nothing wrong there, Ben just needs to learn to tackle properly and pick his battles.

Not sure why you thin the ref did badly in the last 15 minutes. He had to deal with a bit too much whingeing from both sides but I would struggle to query his fairness, even if we did come off on the wrong side a couple of times including the free kick for the goal.

See I think it was a free kick. Cheese is all over your back and grabbing onto your shoulders everytime you get the ball, thats inviting trouble. And with the free kick, he did barge into me, which meant that i couldnt control the ball!

I got booked for teling the ref this, i know im right! emoticon

Beano, if I'm honest I have no idea whether the feee kick was indeed that. I know Cheese can be a bit clumsy at times. Annoying thing is I was lined up to head that cross clear.

You were lucky you din't get a second yellow for the "dida" dive. Ashton was calling for it on the sidelines. emoticon

I think Slip won in the Whingeing stakes about 9-2!... Dan as Captain was setting an example that not many of his teammates bothered following!

The incident you are talking about - It was a 50/50 tackle and Ben won the ball. He went in 1 footed with it along the ground, it was a hard tackle but not a dirty one. Martin didn't do anything wrong (certainly no stamp Kirby) but Ben came off worse unfortunately for him. Can't remember one tackle from Ben that could be classed as dirty or studs up, just hard but fair. Ref was dodgy at times but consistent to both teams. Fav moment was after he'd nearly booked someone for swearing, he got annoyed when someone else spoke to him and said 'I've bloody had enough of this!' Maybe he should have booked himself!

Dan, Ben has certainly improved over the hot head we saw a few years ago but in my opinion he still jumps into tackles a bit too much with studs up, which is what happened in the tackle with Martin. Take it from my years of experience. emoticon
