Re: The 'Slip thread
Personally I blame Nathan Redshaw for all this trouble.
PS I don't really but when he comes onto the Board this morning I think he'll feel a little bit left out so I wanted to b more inclusive.

It wasn't a bad tackle!just a strong one!if you can't handle strong tackles then play netball. There are plenty of tackles that are won with the studs, doesn't mean they are nasty.
personally i disagree.
i know every tackle is different and i'm not saying it's impossible to win it cleanly when studs up, but i think when someone knowingly goes in studs up it's a cowards tackle
the guy going in knows that it's very unlikely that damage is going to be done to the bottom of his foot, but quite likely significantly more damage will be done to the top or instep of the opponents foot
(my view may be coloured slightly by the fact i've previously had a fractured foot and currently have a wrecked ankle due to mugs going in studs up )

Re: The 'Slip thread
Gentlemen and Dan, I didn't mean my comment about the 'stamping' as agressive banter - it was just the word I used. Maybe I could have worded it like 'we all would have done the same if we'd have gone into a big challenge and had studs unfortunately embedded in our leg', but 'stamped' was much shorter. So calm down everyone - we all know these things happen in football, so chill Winston! Maybe I should have used some emoticons
Eakes, no hard feelings to your team - I think it was a decent match. I said about the ref because the way he was talking at the end - it was like he just didn't care anymore. Even if there is whinging n stuff, it's the ref's job to deal with it, not winge himself.
No match for a few weeks now then Paul - what's happening with training? Is it tonight and next monday? I can't make tonight but will be there next week if it's on. And I don't want any comments about missing it tonight - I've attended all others.
Eakes - what's this about including Nath? He decided to watch the rubgy instead of the slip... Obviously his priorities are wrong and therefore doesn't deserve to be included!

If I can refer the honourable gentleman to Mr Hilder's text from a few weeks back, which read something like this:
"Guys, training is on again this Monday and every Monday from now on at....."
