It wasn't a bad tackle!just a strong one!if you can't handle strong tackles then play netball. There are plenty of tackles that are won with the studs, doesn't mean they are nasty.
personally i disagree.
i know every tackle is different and i'm not saying it's impossible to win it cleanly when studs up, but i think when someone knowingly goes in studs up it's a cowards tackle
the guy going in knows that it's very unlikely that damage is going to be done to the bottom of his foot, but quite likely significantly more damage will be done to the top or instep of the opponents foot
(my view may be coloured slightly by the fact i've previously had a fractured foot and currently have a wrecked ankle due to mugs going in studs up )
I was out for a good 6 weeks too due to some nobber going in studs up - I kicked the ball as he slid in late, and my foot followed through onto his studs. Witcher had to drive my car home for me.

Paul - what's happening with training? Is it tonight and next monday?
If I can refer the honourable gentleman to Mr Hilder's text from a few weeks back, which read something like this:
"Guys, training is on again this Monday and every Monday from now on at....."
If you'd have been there saturday supporting your team you would have heard some speak about not having training next week, but I didn't pick up any conclusion from it, hence the question to Paul.

I'm confused as to who you're putting the blame on...
Ben likes to go in with his signature two-footed missile attack every game, certainly every game I've played against him and I guarantee he'll do it again the next time I play against him

I don't think Dan would agree with you on that one (if his ego will allow it!).... come to think of it neither would at least one more of your players
Anyways, tell us more about that dive?

Re: The 'Slip thread
Adam, presumably because Paul, like me, thought it was a good spirited game. This is all just banter. Personally I welcome the banter as we all know each other pretty well now so we know its all good natured.

Re: The 'Slip thread
I know Si, I am enjoying it. I think I've got away quite lightly myself this week - I left my foot in on a couple of occasions (my excuse being I'm still trying to find the pace of the games after a long layoff ) So, I haven't mentioned anything about Ben's tackle for fear of opening myself up to lots of stick.
The biggest bonus/surprise for me is the strong competition that goes with a good spirited league from what I've seen - I wasn't expecting that.
