Re: The 'Slip thread
Apparently us regulars on the board are 'verbose folks' according to the hall of honour top 500 posters! What the hell does verbose mean!? Any suggestions? BTW Eakes, I've now passed you in 2nd place and am only about 100 posts behind Nath in 1st! Watch out Nath!
Nath and Benjiman - I'm surprised you haven't commented on my new avatar, thought you'd recognise it.

Re: The 'Slip thread
Good session last night. Bit odd when Dan went off on his own for 20 minutes.

I'm guessing it's a South Park-style animated thing of the end of one of the seasons of Lost? Season 2 was it when they end up being captured by the others?
Didn't enjoy training too much last night. I think I ate too much tea too close to training, as I felt sick after those sprints for at least 20 minutes. It was only really the last half hour that I felt ok again.
Highlights must be the competition for worst shot. Close toss up between Kirby's powerdrive that barely went anywhere (in fact he may even have knocked it slightly backwards as he brought his leg back again), and my air shot.
Showboating moment is again a close call between my drag backs past Fordy and Mark's Cruyff turn that left Dave Flynn for dead.

Re: The 'Slip thread
Rael, I've just noticed that you're on the board. What are you doing up at this time? You're a student!! You shouldn't be up and about this early in the day. Unless you've just got back in following a night out, in which case it's ok.

I'll give you that one.
You forgot the mention faul of the evening, which goaes to Pete for either holding my ankle when I passed Phil, then pulling me to the ground, or when he stamped on my ankle when I turned him.

Re: The 'Slip thread
Rael, your challenge for today is to refer to one of the players as "pugnacious" - a great word not used enough in my opinion. Please report back if it was used and if so, in what context.

Re: The 'Slip thread
Its a word often used in the Guardian and the Telegraph. Search on Google and you'll find a few references.
Aim for thehigher class of football listener Rael. You know, the sort that live north of the river.
