Gerrard, you absolute cheating twat!..
..the other day I heard David Bentleys comments about people loving football but not liking footballers and amazingly he couldn't understand why, here's another reason why. England vice captain again gets away with a blatant dive and has a word with the ref to make sure the defender is sent off. It's embarassing to see and even worse that the ref didn't book Gerrard and that Andy Gray didn't have the balls to say it was dive, even Peter Reid didn't call it a dive!!... the ref was awful, an absolute incompetent bottler afraid of Gerrard and co..
I expect you'll all tell me he was entitled to go down, I think the defender was entitled to be where he was..
..at least tonight we'll see some English sportsmen make us proud, win or lose
Sorry I was too slow! I won't react to your comments until I've seen it.

Delighted with that win, absolutely brilliant! Rumours that Gerrard dived for first penalty, haven't seen it yet so won't comment, but he was through on goal so no reason to dive, just like champs league final Gooner I'm sure you'll comment before you even see the incident.
Beat you to it Dan, I've seen the incident about 30 times and he cheated!..
I haven't been one to have a go at Gerrard in the past but like other English players he's protected and will escape any critism in the media, unlike foreign divers like Pires & Ronaldo

I don't understand it either, but I can't relate to many Premiership footballers!!... I think he uses his name to buy decisions, he knows a pen is a more probable goal than scoring one under pressure

Re: Premiership thread
Beano has been on the text saying how the ref deserves 3 points. Apparently Everton should have had a pen after we'd scored the winner. Just remember how many times the away team at Old Trafford should of had a penalty but it wasn't given! And remember Liv vs Chelski earlier this season with that penalty decision, so it all evens itself out.

Re: Premiership thread
Fortunate win in some ways. Both Penalties were correctly given to us, Hibbert made no real attempt to take the ball he was outpaced by Gerrard so he grabbed his shirt and finally tripped him up. The foul started way outside the area and continued into the box. I didn't like seeing Gerrard protesting for a red, But if he gave a penalty surely the red had to go with it as he stopped a clear goal scoring chance. We were fortunate to escape the 2 penalty claims but I had to laugh at Moyes getting stressy on the touchline, never did like the moaning git.

I can see why he dived, judging from his miss on wednesday!

Re: Premiership thread
gerrard is a diver no doubt about it, if he played in the red of utd and was called ronaldo then there would be uproar but because he is english it's ok.
Yes ronaldo hits the ground a bit too easy on occasions but he is improving and tends not to get decisions for genuine fouls because of his reputation.
