Nath, thats very unlike you to big up Liverpool's chances. Something tells me you have cursed Liverpool now.

Liverpool were cursed when they signed Carragher.

You do make me laugh!I know we kind of did 'sign' him when he was a youngster but you prob think we bought him a few years ago! You're such a football joke!

As for the result tonight - awful result. Calamatous og again from Hyypia, although not totally his fault. Crouchy should have come on earlier, we missed some glorious chances in the first 20 minutes. Great goal from Stevie but now we need to win all 3 remaining games and hope Porto slip at home to either Besiktas or Marseille. Not looking good but if we finish 4th in group it could be good news for league campaign. Def don't want to have the hassle of UEFA cup.

Good summing up. I think our problems are firstly that the front two didn't pose any threat (as soon as Crouch comes on, we finally win a header in the box and Gerrard scores!). We desperately need Torres back. Also, Hyypia looked well off the pace. The first goal wasn't his fault, but he missed his challenge on Bobo for the second. Mascherano didn't have a great game either. We really need Agger and Alonso back too. Priority in January must go to signing a centre back as cover for Carra and Agger.

Hyypia is off the pace in most games. Bobo's goal was very well taken, lovelyy touch to take it over Hyypia. Did you see Crouchy's 50p header 6 yards out that could have salvaged a point but it went straight back to the corner taker? emoticon

Would you agree that Alonso should have come on instead of Lucas? Why have him on the bench if you're not going to use him? We needed someone to find that killer ball to create a chance, Alonso is one of the best at that.

It was a well taken goal, but Agger would have got to the ball before Bobo and stopped him getting that far.

Yes! I had to check with Ben that my eyes hadn't deceived me, and that he had actually just done that!!

Not sure. It would have been good to get him on, but he's only just coming back from injury, so maybe it wasn't worth the risk. Having said that, if he was on the bench, surely Rafa would have been thinking that he'd only use him if he really needed him, and as we were a goal down, surely that was the case?

I just know Gooner is dying to say something to rub salt into our wounds, but is holding back until Sunday's result...
