Drogba as a second striker (when he's the best striker in the world and can do the job of 2 strikers if needed)?

Carragher over Vidic when some of you think Vidic is a better player than Rio (bearing in mind that Carragher was about 5th choice for England and has made more clumsy challenges that I've had hot dinners)?

Mascherano over all of Man Utd's Central Midfield players when Hayden Mullins was deemed to be a better player only a year ago?

Evra over Riise when Riise was made to look very average against a doomed League 2 side? In truth, unless he scores goals, which he hasn't been recently, then he's a very average player - a trait of most wide Liverpool players!

If I was born in Liverpool, I'd definitely be an Everton fan so I could sleep at night without ridiculous inflated opinions of my side.

Carra is and has never been the 5th best English defender in the Prem. Top 3 for the last 3/4 years. Why he didn't get more England games is beyond me but Eakes was probably right when he said Carra and Terry couldn't play together because they are too similar, so he didn't get too many opportunities.

Why West Ham hardly ever played Mascherano is a joke. He's proved that with how well he has played for Liverpool, so yeah Hayden Mullins is better emoticon

Riise has been average this season, but has been brilliant for us over the last 4 years, a true Liverpool legend.

I know we will win the league sooner rather than later and I cannot wait because it will prove you all wrong.

...Or just a player who can't get a transfer to another club emoticon

A bit of shame his evening seemed to be eclipsed by Gerrard's hat trick. Lovely third goal

Another great result for Liverpool, snatching a late draw at home to Aston Villa! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I just genuinely enjoy watching Liverpool do rubbish! emoticon

Its alright though mate, I read somewhere recently that John Aldride thinks you are only one world class player short of a good team! emoticon

We have a spine of world class players but we certainly need more than one! Reina, Carra, Stevie, Torres I wouldn't change. Agger and Mash are certainly very important to us and I don't think I would change them either. Babel has the potential but obiously needs time (and games! emoticon ).

IMHO we need at least 1 quality winger and another goal scorer. And maybe a full back.

Nath, with the squad we have at the moment, who would be your starting 11?

Mine would be...

          Reina

Finnan Carra Agger Arbeloa

Benayoun Stevie Mash Babel

        Torres Crouch

Pretty similar. I might put in Riise instead of Finnan and swap Arbeloa to right back, and I think it's very close between Mascherano and Alonso in the middle. Mascherano picks up too many bookings - another one last night which I think means he gets a suspension.
