You guys are giving some really cack arguments, both decisions were as bad as each other and the consequences were the same, the only difference is the teams involved. Disagree that both decisions were just as bad as each other, both wrong but no where near the same. Riley's decisions happens near enough in each game but as Gerrard scored from it, it's highlighted. Styles mistakes does not happen very often.

shame for ash, although robben's never quite recaptured the form of his first season before that fateful night in blackburn.
have to say i'm not too worried by madrid's summer transfer campaign. they've managed to spend £80 million, not to mention signing on fees and wages, on:
Pepe(£20m),Robben(£21m),Sneijder(£18m),Drenthe(£13m),Heinze(£8m),Metzelder,Dudek and Saviola(all free)
i don't think you would put any of those players in the 'world class' category apart from possibly a fully firing Robben.
