I dont think it was that bad a tackle, ive certainly seen a lot worse. It was early in the game and taylor was done by the quick feet of Eduardo. He didnt go flying in recklessly or anything. Unlike eboue last week but im sure wenger has forgotten about that!

Hope the lad gets better and can play again because nobody likes to see that.

I agree with Beano. I actually don't think it was a red card offence, haven't really thought about whether it was a yellow. The worst one I can think of this season was Carvalho's two-footed lunge. It was nothing like that. Just an unfortunate accident.

So how long until Keegan's dismissal then...?

The honeymoon period of Keegan's return will (and maybe already has) run out very soon. They haven't even won a game under him yet - 6 games in charge, conceded 16 goals and only scored 3. Hardly the goalfests people may have expected.

I know it is only 6 games into his tenure, but in this day and age no job is safe if you don't win games...

If I was Ashley I would sack Keegan and bring in Martin O'Neill. They need a manager like him to sort the problems out at Newcastle, not an old has-been like Keegan who is purely there for what he did 10 years ago.

I think Keegan will be the first managerial casualty in Premiership (or Championship!?) next season.

Probably true, although I don't think he'd leave Villa for Newcastle anyway. Have to say I'm loving watching how Michael Owen's career has blossomed since leaving us. emoticon

This may surprise a lot of people but I think he could be heading to us in the summer. Fergie is apparently still a big admirer and I think we will be after another striker, Saha may leave in the summer.

Two things make me think this won't happen.

1. Why replace one injury prone striker with another?
2. The rumoured £9m release clause has now supposedly expired, so why didn't Fergie buy him last summer if he wanted him? He'd probably have to pay more now.

Would be extremem;y harsh to sack Keegan, the team he has got is crap, lets see who he brings in in the summer and how they start next season. It willtake a while to turnaround Newcastle and if they keep sacking managers then it will never happen.

Why the hell would O'Neill be stupid enough to go to Newcastle!?

I tell you Martin O niell is going no where he has got at Villa what most managers want from a Club and thats to be left alone by the Chairman and allowed to get on with it and not only that gets given cash when he needs to invest but one thing about O'Niell is that he buys smart he pay's what he thinks is due and not over the top like chelsea.

Why would he move to Liverpool when he has to put up with american owners who just put a team in more debut thats the one good thing about the Villa chairman he just doesn't see it as an investment he see's it as a club he has come to adore.
