You do have to love the guy but my faves are the long serving Riise and the king of tap-ins Xabi Alonso. Please note, I am not talking about who I think the best footballer is.

My initial thought was that it was a good job he didn't have to nominate a top 5 Englishmen.

Pennant must have been gutted not to make the 3.

We may only have 4 regulars that are English but we have several promising youngsters coming through the youth system.
Jack Hobbs, Craig Lindfield and Robbie Threlfall are 3 I can think of.
