Scored against Chelsea, scored for Spain mid-week and everytime he has played he has been outstanding.

Not sure that's quite true. He didn't do a great deal against Villa on the opening day, and he missed a couple of decent chances against Sunderland before setting up Voronin. I didn't realise he'd scored for Spain midweek though, I have to say. He looks like he'll be an excellent player for us ultimately though, and we should have started him against Portsmouth.

He may have missed chances but he's looked so sharp and dangerous. Did you watch the Villa and Sunderland games?

Happy with the point in Portugal last night. Probably the hardest away game in the group. Pennant is a muppet. Absolutely no point in fouling the guy in the position they were in. And can we quit giving away penalties! That's 4 this season in 8 games!

Great result for Chelski. Ashton emailed me earlier this week with this....

my week:

sat: London to watch Chelsea vs Blackburn

Tues: London to watch Chelsea vs Rosenburg

Saturday: Manchester to watch City vs Toon

Sunday: Manchester to watch Chelsea vs Utd

Not started well really has it!! emoticon

Good result for us in the end, although it was a pretty dire game. We almost managed to nick it at the end too when Gerrard finally burst forward. Pennant was a wally no-brain. He kept giving away stupid fouls the whole night. No surprise to see him shown either yellow. How did Mascherano not get a yellow for that scissors tackle though?? emoticon

Ashton's week is not going well. I think he should stop watching Chelsea live. He's a jinx, clearly. I was surprised to see the Bridge so empty last night. Wouldn't happen at Anfield....

Porto are a horrible bunch of cheats, I watched the awful second half last night and I don't think I saw a Liverpool challenge that wasn't met with a dive. No different to when Mourinho was there. A few dives from the Pool strikers too. What a crap game!
