Re: Liverpool Discussion Thread The problem for Liverpool is that Villa now knows what it's like to win something, there's an addictive quality to winning.

He doesn't want to leave Valencia so I'm told. Also, if he leaves, someone like Real or Barca might pick him up first.
If he likes nice seaside places to live (like Valencia) then Brighton would be at the top of his list anyway.
Maybe, but I understood that Valencia's financial problems mean it's likely that he will be sold. In our favour, he presumably worked with Benitez when Rafa was Valencia manager and clearly gets on well with Torres. If he loves Valencia that much, he might prefer to go abroad where he's unlikely to play against them (don't think they've qualified for the Champs League this year have they?).
Having said all that, I think we'd be better off spending the money on a decent winger.

Weston Super Mare?
Sure they'd like him...
The Springfield Stadium is a nice little ground.
WSM also avoided relegation to the BGB Southern league last season due too Cambridge City failing a ground inspection. So he may yet be lured.
