a) Incorrect - Villa joined Valencia in 2005, Rafa joined Liverpool in 2004.

Although I would get rid of Kuyt for an out and out winger and I think Carra is wasted at right back, but can't decide wether I prefer Skrtel or Agger, probably Agger at the moment though. Good looking team though.

Disagree. The rumours in the Sun today are that Valencia have asked for £32m for Villa, which we can't afford to pay, so we might go for David Silva instead, who I think would be a better target anyway. Barry is looking less likely today as Juve won't pay £15m for Alonso. I think this looks a better team than you've put up....

The defence could be switched around a bit like you've done, but I don't rate Aurelio, so I'd definitely have Dossena in the team. Still think Skrtel needs to learn a bit more before becoming a regular. I think Babel will have a good season (one to keep an eye on for fantasy football purposes ). Considering the relationship Gerrard built up with Torres last season, it would seem a shame to switch to 4-4-2, effectively reducing the opportunities for them to link up.
The big worry would be Torres getting injured (which would be a worry even with Villa). If that happened, I'd put Babel up front and bring Kuyt in at right mid (I can't believe I'm saying that, but I'm starting to see some benefits of Kuyt  ).

Not a bad side Nath. But think that you lack any sort of quality at full back (much like we do on our right hand side eh Kirby )
So i'd go with Carragher at right back and bring in Skrtel at centre half even tho Jamie is better at centre half than full back.
Cannot believe what you've just said about Kuyt. Maybe we will trully see this season if he's capable of anything in the premiership. If not, he's going on the dreaded 'Worse players to grace the premiership thread'!
