Heard a good one today....

Apparently, Dirk Kuyt is now known as the Prince Harry of Liverpool. He's been in the frontline for 3 months without anyone knowing....

We're linked to Bentley apparently and he's hinted at moving to a team with regular Euro football 'cos he wants to start the next world cup. I'd take him in a flash.

Quoted this from CL thread....

Agree about Bentley, it'd be good to sign him. We wouldn't have to play Kuyt or Pennant then!! I'd love us to sign Ashley Young too. On another forum I look at, a United fan has suggested this possible line up for Liverpool next year....

Reina
Carra Skrtel Agger Heinze
Bentley Gerrard Masch Babel
Torres Henry

emoticon Don't think it'll all happen, but I could see us potentially signing Heinze if Real are happy to let him go. I guess Henry might leave Barca if rumours are to be believed, so whilst that one's unlikely, you never know....

Don't know but I hadn't read it before I changed it.

Bye bye

Sad news really, but if we sign someone better which helps us get closer to the top, it can only be good.

I'll miss him, great servant to the club, a true legend.

Post your fav Riise moments...

Free kick vs United - John Arne Riise, ooh ahh...

Goal vs Chelski in FA cup semi final

The cross for Gerrard to score in CL final '05

And all the other belters he's scored for us

 emoticon

Didn't he score another great goal in the Community Shield in 2006. One of the regular contributors to this board was there to witness it too I believe. emoticon

Bye bye Riise

Couple of points re this: Firstly, I really think you guys go a bit overboard on Kuyt. Yes, he was bought as a striker but he has actually turned out to be pretty good at right mid, with a decent enough goals to games ratio for a player in that position.

Secondly, Heinze - can't believe you're still happy to pick up United's sloppy seconds emoticon .

Thirdly: Henry. You seriously want him? Will prob ask for 100k per week and has clearly demonstrated over the season and in the Euros that he is no longer a class act. I honestly think - and I can't believe I';m typing this - that a front line of Crouch and Torres would get more goals in the Prem. Certainly wouldn't look as good, but would be more effective.

Would like to see Liverpool do well this season, but I'm getting a bit bored of saying that year on year.

To be fair to Nath, he did say that over 2 months ago.

I agree with you about Torres and Crouch.

Kuyt is not a right midfielder, he cannot cross a ball nor get past a man, he's not good enough.
