Re: Liverpool Discussion Thread
Heard a good one today....
Apparently, Dirk Kuyt is now known as the Prince Harry of Liverpool. He's been in the frontline for 3 months without anyone knowing....

Re: Liverpool Discussion Thread
Didn't he score another great goal in the Community Shield in 2006. One of the regular contributors to this board was there to witness it too I believe.
Bye bye Riise

Agree about Bentley, it'd be good to sign him. We wouldn't have to play Kuyt or Pennant then!! I'd love us to sign Ashley Young too. On another forum I look at, a United fan has suggested this possible line up for Liverpool next year....
Reina
Carra Skrtel Agger Heinze
Bentley Gerrard Masch Babel
Torres Henry
Don't think it'll all happen, but I could see us potentially signing Heinze if Real are happy to let him go. I guess Henry might leave Barca if rumours are to be believed, so whilst that one's unlikely, you never know....
Couple of points re this: Firstly, I really think you guys go a bit overboard on Kuyt. Yes, he was bought as a striker but he has actually turned out to be pretty good at right mid, with a decent enough goals to games ratio for a player in that position.
Secondly, Heinze - can't believe you're still happy to pick up United's sloppy seconds .
Thirdly: Henry. You seriously want him? Will prob ask for 100k per week and has clearly demonstrated over the season and in the Euros that he is no longer a class act. I honestly think - and I can't believe I';m typing this - that a front line of Crouch and Torres would get more goals in the Prem. Certainly wouldn't look as good, but would be more effective.
Would like to see Liverpool do well this season, but I'm getting a bit bored of saying that year on year.

To be fair to Nath, he did say that over 2 months ago.
I agree with you about Torres and Crouch.
Kuyt is not a right midfielder, he cannot cross a ball nor get past a man, he's not good enough.
