Could have, but at least it's not something like 'The McDonalds Stadium' or 'The Pepsi Max Stadium'.

Personally, I liked 'New Anfield'.

New Anfield would have been alright, just seems a bit boring as it is. At least you know that you can sell the stadium name before you go bust!

Heard a good story on Radio 5 this morning. They had this Scouser on who'd been on holiday in California. Whilst there, he looked up George Gillett in the phone book, found his number and called him up asking to speak to him. He wasn't in, but the person he spoke to gave him Gillett's work number. He phoned that, left a message, and 10 minutes later, Gillett phoned him back and asked what he wanted.

He told him he was an ordinary fan who wanted to talk about the club, so Gillett invited him to come to his office. He went and met him, had a talk about his concerns, and left much happier so he said.
