I'm pretty sure the black smoke is the monster mate - it killed Eko.

But Eko didn't end up with horrific injuries!

He had enough of an injury to kill him!! I'm with John. The black smoke thing is the monster. You see it ripping up trees once or twice don't you?

TBC Ben, I'm not sure we've really spoiled much. I guess Eko dies in series 3 (I thought it was series 2), which hasn't been on C4 yet. It doesn't spoil much of the series though as he dies really early on. Still worth watching as there's loads of things you don't know.

Didn't Eko just die without any tauma?

I thought he got tossed high into the air by the black smoke thing and died of injuries sustained from landing back on the ground?? It was a while ago that I saw it though....

yes - Eko got smashed into a couple of trees by the smoke, then thrown into the air. the impact of all the beatings killed him.
Dan, give up, you've lost this one.

You're right, just found this on wikipedia...

'Eko grows angry and chases Yemi into the jungle, where he confronts the "Monster" once more. After being thrown about by the Monster, Eko is finally thrown to the floor, fatally wounded. He whispers his last words to Locke, "You're next," before dying. He is buried at the spot where he died, his stick marking his grave.'

Maybe the black smoke is the monster from Cloverfield before it becomes physical form?!

Re: Cinema

Went to watch The Bank Job last night, british film with Jason Statham.

I thought it was quite good. Haven't seen Lock Stock but can imagine it's very similar in style. Didn't realise it was based on a true story back in the 70s. It's basically about these amateur crooks who are told about the bank being closed and the alarms being down, so they dig a tunnel from a nearby shop and get into the vault with all the safety deposit boxes. They are being used though as the woman is working for an MI5 agent who wants the contents of a certain box which contains photos of a Royal in bed with some bloke. The guy who owns this box is a criminal they want to convict but can't as he's blackmailing them with these photos. There's also another crook who pays bent cops and his records get taken in the robbery so he wants them back, so he's trying to track them down. It's basically 2 stories rold into 1 if you like.

Lots of boobies emoticon and swearing, 'c' word used twice emoticon . Rated 15 but should blatently be an 18.

I'd recommend it because without the excessive swearing it's actually a good film (boobies included emoticon ).

mmm, boobies. I thought it was a good film too. I like Statham films - entertaining with a hint of comedy.

I like Will Ferrell films, even though they are all pretty similar really. Normally pretty funny. **motor boat**

Wanna see Vantage Point. 2 people have said it's good, 1 person has said it's not good. Hmmm...
