Have to agree, yet another keeper assigned to the scrap heap. Have to give Foster a go I reckon.
I reckon Prior should get another chance, he's done well this season.
Don't think so. I'm a Sussex fan therefore bias. But his keeping is just not good enough. Batting is fine but that is not the point. He drops too many catches.
Re: Cricket Do we not have a decent wicket keeper anywhere? With Broad's form with the bat, surely we just need someone who's good behind the wicket, rather than someone who can bat as well? Has Ambrose done that badly behind the wicket? Surely all keepers, as in football, are prone to make the odd mistake which will always cost their team?
Good to see Flintoff back in the squad for the next test. Surely he has to be considered as a bowler rather than an all rounder though? In which case, who does he replace?
Re: Cricket Problem with the keeper is that of confidence. Ambrose ia a good keeper. However, he hasn't been getting any runs so that has affected his keeping as well because he thinks "I'm not getting runs, need to keep well" and puts too much pressure on himself.
There aren't that many names jumping out to take the spot - Jones has had his chance, keeping is just not up to it. Prior's batting is probably the best out of all of them but his keeping is sub standard.
Foster deserves a chance to be honest. Otherwise I would invest in the Worcs keeper Davies.
Flintoff will almost certainly come in for Colly. Its too much to ask Fred to be part of a 4 man bowling attack. However, they might just get away with it at Headingley as its usually bowler friendly, unlike Lords.
Re: Cricket Bit of nip in the pitch I reckon will suit us. Ryan will be the man in this test match. England to do well at Headingley I reckon. Backing an England win still.
