Re: League Rumours - things i heard today
Crofty,
Have you seen me? I'm not the kind of guy who would be able to do training routines like that but i would be looking for casual and training at the same time, So i'm looking for a mix of the two to be honest. So if its just casual i wouldn't be bothered as i will mainly be working on my own fitness by myself.
But yea when you have a training session i'd be interested in popping along.

turps hell yea it feels good having a 100% save percentage for the season. That gives me a good selling point.

Re: League Rumours - things i heard today
ours is very casual, pint before kick about for few hours then couple more pints. Followed by chips and a kebab on the way home.
Thinking about it, thats probs why we havent won many this term.

To be fair we will be taking training a little more seriously this year than we did this year but it won't be crazy. Casual and training is a good way of summing it up i am hoping our lads take on the keeping fit outside of training motto too!

Ah but it is kinda true as this season is this year (2008) and next season starts this year (2008), but I did mean last year! Man his grammer magic works quick

just remember you play for your church, so leauges shouldnt matter, its not that much of a jump is it????
Worth mentioning that, as Tef has observed, I actually go to Hope. Started playing for Santos before Hope Church even existed and carried on with them when Hope finally did get a team together (i.e. changed BCF's name).
Have never left a team before, and spent about a year considering this move. Have spent nearly 8 years at Santos, but am now very aware that I need to play with other people to enjoy my game properly again (though I have to stress that I love all of my lads at Santos - and I don't mean love in the 'Jeff' way) and also to try and get better as a player. Only a couple of years left to do that in all probablilty, before I retreat to an easier position. Central defence perhaps?
Went to Woodies because the community side of the game is important to me (think that may be shorthand for 'having a beer') and most of their guys live fairly locally. Quite prepared for time on the bench. Will have to work hard to get in the team and I'm looking forward to that. I'm also confident that I'll be able to carry my title of 'Best Pool Player at the Club' over to Woodies. Whaddaya reckon Matt? (By the way, Ieuan beat me straight after you left!)
It has also been the case throughout my career that I have only played in teams in which I had balding centre halves to take the piss out of. Obviously I had it easy at Santos, with Jeff's homo-ness making my job even more simple. At Woodies I'm very aware that the bald body-mass is at least 500% greater, and I'm relishing the challenge.
