Well this could only come from Liverpool
Apparently Liverpool have put a 10 million price tag on scott carson yet they are only willing to pay 10 million for Gareth Barry. Well that makes sense.
They say crouch an out of favour england striker 15 million. An in favour Barry with more goals than the striker with great leadership is 10 million.
Just shows that Liverpool will soon to be at fault for their own downfall soon that's off fourth place i mean.

a) Rafa offered £10m plus players.
b) Crouch is definately worth that. Don't know why we're getting rid of him to be honest, so much better than Voronin and better than Kuyt! But with Rafa only playing 1 up front, he's never going to dislodge Torres. Crouch is a superb footballer, and if he had a long run in a team he'd score 15-20 prem goals per season.
c) Liverpool will not be dropping out of the top 4 anytime soon, get real Lomps. We finished 11 points ahead of Everton and 16 ahead of Villa. Face it, there are 2 divisions inside the Prem, maybe even 3 with Liverpool playing all by themselves, but we're getting closer!

Re: Well this could only come from Liverpool
Crouch must have played just as many (if not more) games as Barry for England over the last season or two. Strikers are worth more than defensive mids generally, so not so crazy. The only slightly crazy thing is that we'll probably be lucky to get that for Crouch when he only has one season left on his contract, and that Dan, is why we're selling him. He won't sign a new contract because we don't play him enough. Fair enough really.

Rafa doesn't want him to stay! It is fair enough on Crouchy's part if he wants to leave, he wants to play a big role for England and Liverpool but at the moment he's not getting either.

I think Rafa does want him to stay, hence the new contract we've offered, but he accepts that he wants to leave.

Re: Well this could only come from Liverpool
I like Crouch, and I think its the only Liverpool player I might have ever liked. Hope he leaves and voronin and kuyt stay, and you finish up nowhere again

Thing is I don't think that would be the end of the world as long as Torres stays fit. We'll buy a right winger to replace Kuyt and our attack will be sorted.
