Tennis Thread
What with The French Open and Wimbledon coming up I thought there was a need for a thread where people (Dan) could post their thoughts.
I was personally amazed that there is a British woman in the top 100 for the first time in nearly 10 years!!!

Rafa is definitely the man to beat. Not sure how hard Federer will push him though. He's not had the best of seasons so far, and clay is his worst surface. I could see one of the Spanish clay courters or Djokovic beating him. Federer can play well in patches, but he does seem to lack some belief on clay (surprisingly). He was a set and a break up against Nadal in the final a year or two ago, but Nadal won in 4. The other day, he was 5-1 up in the first set of the final against Nadal, but still lost it.
Don't bet against him at Wimbledon though.

Federer has been brlliant on clay this season. Even when he lost to Stepenek in Rome, he won more points than Stepenek! Wierd that you can lose like that!
I think Rafa will win Roland Garros, but Roger will be runner up.

Re: Tennis Thread
This ends the tennis thread.
Nadal will win the French
Federer will win everything else
Job done. Move on, there's nothing to see here.

Good eye candy I guess but thats about it.
I know nothing about tennis so couldn't possibly comment on the womens game.

Re: Tennis Thread
There are a few women that could win the tournaments this summer, any of the top 8.

I see Ivanovic and Sharapova being the main contenders now that Henin has retired.
