Re: Tennis Thread
Having looked at the seeding, outside the top 3 as I do think they are a cut above the rest, I think you have to look as far down as Murray before you get a potential problem for the big three. Beyond that, and as Turpin said, Karlovic can be useful but I think Tursunov seeded 25 is just peachy...
Having said that Davydenko is a strong player too but couldn't pick the fourth seed as thats like saying Dan Flynn will be cokcy at some stage today!
In the ladies, i'll say Kuznetsova will be dangerous.

Davydenko is rubbish. Fact. The only reason he's as high as 4th is because every flipping week to get as many ranking points as possible. He's never really come close to winning a major. He's made 4 semis and 4 quarters. Henman's record beats that - 6 semis and 4 quarters. Federer, Nadal and Djokovic would all beat him in straight sets at Wimbledon. I'd also fancy Murray to beat him in 4 at the most.

Hence me ignoring the top three in my predictions and choosing Tursunov and Murray over him...
I agree with the reason for ranking that you put across but branding him 'rubbish' is an outrageous shout!

Re: Tennis Thread
Wimbledon draw has been done today. Murray looks to have a fairly easy first round match, although you never know which Andy Murray will turn up.
Nadal must be liking the look of the draw. He's scheduled to meet Rod****, who he thrashed at Queens, in the semis, whilst Federer has Djokovic in his side of the draw.

Re: Tennis Thread
I really can't see anything other than a Nadal v Federer final, Yawn, I'm not knocking the quality of the tennis, it's just a bit predictable. I'd love to be wrong though.

Why has it changed from previous years?
In the womens, I think you can never write off the Williams sisters at Wimbledon. Nor Sharapova. Ivanovic will be in the semis though.

I don't think Serena will do too well, Venus might though, again. Personally I'd like to see them both go out early along with Sharapova (her grunting is highly annoying) I'll go for an all Serbian final (i think thats possible).

Re: Tennis Thread
Sharapova has a tough draw. I think Venus will come good again. Can't see past her for the title.

I'm not sure.
Venus is always a good shout for Wimbledon, more so that Serena. I think Sharapova is a good bet, and Jankovic too. Don't know what Ivanovic is like on grass, but just have a feeling she won't win.
