The whole thing was rigged, just goes to show how much the ITV production team can influence the whole show.
Is anyone going to tell me that the stage set was all George Sampson's work? Of course not. But take away the lavish stage set and in particular the water fall and what are you left with? An ordinary dance routine. The water accented the whole routine very heavily, without it what are you really left with?
Contrast that with Andrew Muir who was given very little, plus was told what song to sing (notice he was shut up as soon as he tried to say he didn't choose the song?) and the guy was given no chance.
Having said that, apart from the flame effects, the all girl string quartet played a faultless blinder without big production effects, dancers etc and should have walked it by a country mile. How they didn't win it is beyond me. They had more talent than the rest put together and may well demonstrate their case by going on to a more successful career than any of the rest. Time will tell.
You're like Turpin, talk rubbish!
How do you know George didn't do his own work, even without the water it was still incredible dancing.
Andy Muir was crap, end of. A good singer can sing anything.
Escala are hot. And they were very good and could have won but to say by a country mile and that they have more talent than all of them put together is complete rubbish. I'd say they didn't win partly to do with the fact they are all posh girls who grew up in great conditions unlike someone like George who's family are clearly poor and to win will change his life to the extreme. The public vote for talent but also for the stories. Saying that, Sulemon from Signature is a trainie lawyer, so he's not going to be exactly poor for the rest of his life!
Of course George was helped enormously by the production team and there is no way that the set design was that of a small boy who can giggle about a bit. Like I say, take all that away and what are you left with Dan?
Sorry, Musicians Union stands strong here, Escala are more talented than the lot put together and as I say time will tell who has the most enduing and successful career off of the back of this farce of a show.
What are you left with?! This...
Geoge Sampson audition with no props or special effects
...and it still isn't good enough to win!
The show is "Britain's Got Talent" not "Britain's Got Sob Stories".
Let's see where he is in 12 months and where Escala are in 12 months.

They'll probably both have disappeared off the public radar.
As another person coming from the Musicians Union, I have a different viewpoint. Escala - very good, play very well together, but individually, I'm not sure that what they played was particularly difficult or challenging. I kind of feel that given a bit of time, I could play what they played (individually - I'm not suggesting I could play two violins,a viola and a cello all at the same time).
My dancing on the other hand is absolutely atrocious, so I look at George and think I'd love to be able to dance like that, but can't see myself ever getting anywhere near that good.

Disappear off the radar? What with legs like that?

Haven't watched the show at all (so can't be swayed by the sob stories - if there are any) but you-tubed Escala to compare with the clip above.
Sorry Dan, but although the dancing you linked to seemed fairly clever, when it comes to actual TALENT, I don't think it really compares to the girls playing with their strings. I think I've seen better (young) breakdancers from London at a club on Park Row a few years back. Span round on their heads and everything!
That said, I don't think the strings were that amazing either - I can imagine a whole country of cello/violin/viola players laughing. I assume the talent is in the short skirts and the 'easy-on-the-eye' aspect.
Apparently there's a dancing dog. Brilliant ! That gets my vote.

Agreed!!!. He's a good dancer, but not that good. He certainly didn't deserve to win, he probably didn't deserve a place in the final 3. Pesonally I think Escala, Faryl and Signature were the best closely followed by Andrew. It does seem to me though that George was given an awful lot of help with a flasy set and the obvious sob story. Escala had nothing just pure talent. It was a very good quality final though.

So you liked Andrew better than George because George only won because of a sob story? I'm just trying to remember what Andrew's story is - oh yes, that he gets bullied for singing like he does.
George won because he is an incredible dancer, yes people would feel sorry for him but the majority wouldn't vote just because he's got a sad story.
I know, I'm going to enter next year and do some breakdancing. I'll tell the judges on live tv that my family were killed by a freak swarm of killer wasps and that I'm dying of a rare disorder affecting my good looks. I even think I might win.

At the end of the day, anyone can learn to play an instrument, but dancing is a talent you don't just learn, it's natural.
