Not sure I agree with you there. Anyone can learn to play an instrument to a certain standard. But to be brilliant is a gift. You certainly can't learn to sing to the standard of Faryl & Andrew though, That certainly is a God given talent.

That will be a good story - they will take one look at your and feel the disease is well set and you can't have long to live. A sure fire winner. emoticon

I'm no dancing expert, but I'd have said that George and the thin bloke from Signature had very similar dancing styles.

Rubbish! Not everyone in the country can learn to play an instrument. How are you getting on with the guitar? emoticon

Anyway, it depends on the dance, but surely a lot of dancing is easier than playing an instrument? After all, you get Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing on Ice where celebs with no dancing experience learn various dances in a week and then perform them on TV. Couldn't see a similar programme involving celebs playing instruments working.

I wouldn't say that George was my favourite, but I don't begrudge him the win. I thought 7 acts were really good, and I didn't really mind which out of those 7 won.

Finally, I think it's a definite sign that the footy season is over when a thread about Britain's Got Talent reaches 6 pages!! emoticon

I can't get over how some people (Ben and StapletonGas) think George doesn't have much talent, he's 14! Escala have been playing the violins since they were about 8 probably and are now about 25, 1 even looked in her 30's.

Dan, we are all blessed with our own opinion!

You could turn the above argument on its head and suggest that it has taken Escala until the grand old age of 25-30 to perfect their craft because it is so difficult to achieve that level of musicianship! How about that?

As a musician I could relate to that kind of idea.

Re: Britain's Got Talent

as with ians message, you could possibly consider it taking them so long to perfect the instrument, i am a music man myself and has taken me years to be where i am now. Of course they are extremely talented but so is george in his ability to dance so well. It all takes hard work and lots of hours of practise.

The only reason why i think that escada didnt win is that it is not 'new' as it has been done time before. With george its exciting to see a young lad with great talent doing something that many people havent seen.

I guess there may have been similarities, however there seemed to be more structure to what Signature were doing, it was also funny.
