I can't get over how some people (Ben and StapletonGas) think George doesn't have much talent, he's 14! Escala have been playing the violins since they were about 8 probably and are now about 25, 1 even looked in her 30's.

Dan, we are all blessed with our own opinion!

You could turn the above argument on its head and suggest that it has taken Escala until the grand old age of 25-30 to perfect their craft because it is so difficult to achieve that level of musicianship! How about that?

As a musician I could relate to that kind of idea.

Or that it's taken them that long 'cos they've need longer.

George is only 14 and already brilliant at what he does.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to what you prefer. I prefer the dancing to the singing and instrument playing but I can still see that it is brilliant and why people like it.

I'm just glad that a singer didn't win again and I reckon that's why dancers got the most votes (1st and 2nd places), not because of a sob story but because people wanted something different to win, but we can't take away the fact that the dancers (Signature and George) were brilliant aswell.

Apparently, the Slip Entertainments Team (or whatever they're called) are planning a "Counterslip's Got Talent" event for the autumn. I'm hoping to get the Simon Cowell role. emoticon

There'll be loads of stuff. I expect Benjiman will recite all the Eurovision winners and names of their songs in chronological order from when the competition started. Dan will demonstrate his dancing "ability", Kirby will show off his gingerness and Turpin will get injured on his way up to the stage........ I'm hoping we've got a few talented kids I don't know about. emoticon

Thought Turps would get injured at nets yesterday. One particularly vicious inswinging yorker from myself was zero-ed in on his toes but he just managed to avoid injury.

The batting was dangerous but it's hard for me to get injured bowling, I mean how much damage can I do bowling underarm?
