Whenever I've played against Nailsea, they've had rally good changing rooms, never seen a shed! Unless pre 2004 they had a shed?

Re: 2008/2009 Fixtures?
Throughout the season, if everyone is okay with it I may start a new website for us. I don't want to take anything away from Crofty (if he made the current one), it's just a suggestion but i'll make a new one if everyone is up for it.

You probably ought to consult with him as he has kindly built a new one for us. Maybe it would be an idea to develop it over the season, ready to be implemented for next season? Then you could share the responsibility and time for updating it?

Last year we had a tough game against Nailsea first up, I honestly believe had this game come a month later we would have beat them and been promoted.
Not sure you would have beaten us a month later. We weren't playing well but showed great character and resilience to pick up results and did not lose our first league game until dec 15th to BUCU. We were determined not to be beaten. Plus we also beat you 6-1 second time around.
Will be a different Nailsea in the first division this year and despite myself no longer involved I think they will stay up. By all accounts they have some new signings and I know the new gaffer (who is Nailsea Churches through and through) is determined to take the club forward.
I really think they will do well in the first division.

When we lost 2nd time around we were poor no excuses but it was our first game since Christmas in Feb and Ian will admit he had a mare. But only 1 or two games I believe we deserved to loose.
What I am saying about us beating you is that we played an organised and experienced side in our first ever BCFA game it was tight and we lost to a l8 penalty. What I am daying is had we played a team where we could win despite our nerves and get some points and confidence then had we played you a month or so later I believe we would have Got the win. Hillfields were the form team in Nov/Dec and I have no doubt we would have beat your boys had we played then. My point as was raised at the beginning is had we played an easier game and got the 3 points opening day then beating you later would have put us up, proving that the 1st day fixture can decide if you go up or down!
Nailsea are solid so should be strong next year, however looks a very tough league. BUCU should hold their own too.

Errr yeah website only just started up and revamped, would like to give it a go for a season and see how people get on, I think people will find it fun and a laugh as well as imformative. However after Si hunted for 3 years for someone to do the website and then when I said i'll take it on suddenly everyone who was a web designer came out of the closet saying they would have done it, i think its called Ironey!!!!
I think it was agreed unofficially that because of the scale and amount of info needed to be put on each week that it may be good to let one person take it on per season and as long as someone is able that we change who runs it each year. The most important thing is that the website is kept as uptodate as possible and that whoever takes it on knows it's gonna be a weekly commitment to update.
The reason I rtook it on was because it is a Christian/church based league the whole point of it is to be a witness to others, I felt with us playing in the GFA, teams will want to check us out and having a website which explains what the league is about as well as team profiles contacts and testimonies it can only be a good thing for them to read about what God is has done for us.
I am having fun messing with the website so, please don't try and sack me just yet.

Whilst youhave resigned from being manager Jon its good to know that Mr Cliche is still alive and well. At least 2 in there I reckon.
Woodies pre season training started last night with a low turn out of just 8. TNS took us through a light session (probably for my benefit) which ended with a moment which underlines why footballers are deemed "not eht brightest". We decided to do some shooting practice and TNS placed his cones in front of the fence to the tennis courts so we wouldn't have to chase the ball. He then pointed out that the tennis courts appeared locked so if we shot over we wouldn't be able to get our balls back.
The bright thing would have been expect the worse but no, we carried on and didn't move the goal forward. I think 2 out of the first 3 shots went rocketing over the fence into the tennis courts. Fortunately we forget Spiderman's ginger cousin Ieu was with us and all was good and we got our ball back. Also Ieu won good deed of the day as he fetched some little kid's ball back for him.
