talking about carragher has anybody listened to the talk sport arguement carragher had on there?
When he personally rang up talk sport and had a go at the bloke on there saying carragher was a bottler and lost the hunger for england!! its quite funny!!

Carragher didn't lose the hunger he just wasn't good enough and he knew it, so he spat his dummy out and went crying to the press.
Carragher couldn't cut it at international level without Hypia alongside him to keep bailing him out.

Downing is crap. Crap crap crap. He's also crap when Middlesborough are playing any half decent side.
In actual fact, while God isn't normally one for kicking people while they're down, I think that Stuart Downing is his way of rubbing it in even further that Giggs chose to play for Wales.
And in reference to Benjiman's rather lame picture joke, yes, I was once a matador. Every now and again I'd get bored and I felt that going out and fighting enraged bulls was a slightly more manly pursuit than being a nerd. These days I often wrestle bears and save children from burning buildings.

1) As part of the wingers union I think Downing is not crap. He can delver a ball really well and there aren't that many wingers out there who you can say that about. He may not be world class but given the other options its not that bad. Aside from Beckham (who is a bit like Downing without the ability to take people on) have England ever had a successful winger? Its not part of their tactics so its a bit harsh to say someone is crap because he doesn't fit into a style of play.
2) Giggs did not choose to play for Wales - he was never eligible to play for England. That's a myth set up by England media/fans who try to find a reason for continual underachievement that's different from the truth that "the team played badly".

I'm sorry but I have never heard such rubbish. I'm shocked by this. You class yourself as a winger???

It's always the other way round!! Carra just found that Terry and Rio were better than him at international level and as Eakes says, Carra couldn't play with Terry because they are the same type of defender. Carra has been absolutely brilliant for Liverpool, domesticly and in Europe, you can't deny that.

Just a couple of things: As part of the Professional Footballers Association (another union), Gordon Taylor thinks it's great that Joey Barton is still receiving 50k per week after his release from prison - evidence that unions help a man see sense!
Secondly, I think that if Downing really could 'delver' a ball really well, he'd be an excellent carpenter!
