If you look at the stats I think we were joint second with about 35 conceded of which 11 came in the first two games.
I see. I was combing my match report with a fine tooth comb trying to find a criticism. To be fair, I think we did look a bit dodgy at the back in the first half. As the Santos guy said, they were disappointed not to have scored in the first half, and but for some poor finishing, they probably would have. A couple of times they got in behind us and I think I remember one guy having a free header from what looked like about 6 yards out from where I was which he put over.
However, as I also said, 2nd half we looked really solid, and I can't remember Santos having any efforts on goal, which must mean the defence pretty much didn't put a foot wrong second half.
I also said that the whole team didn't play all that well in the first half and that we only really had a couple of decent efforts on goal that first half, but improved massively after the break, which I think is a fair assessment. I was happy with the performance of the whole team over the full 90 minutes.
A little over-sensitive I feel. Maybe I should have said we looked a bit dodgy defensively, as defending is a team thing. I'll see you on Saturday.

Maybe so but it is disheartening to read pretty much exactly the same thing every weekend, especially considering our record.
