How hard is it not to get drunk the night before a game? Why can't we do our talking with our feet? We'll pick up fewer cards and win more games that way.

Because we play in an amateur league where winning isn't important, not like we're earning thousands of pounds for it. People can do what they like, there is no stopping them.

But I think we should at least ask people to think about it.

If winning isn't important then there's no point getting up on a Saturday, i'd rather go to the gym.

It is important but what my point is is that if we don;t win people don't care too much and will forget about it come 2pm

Maybe that's why we never win anything.

Re: The 'Slip Thread

To be fair, I think only one of the team last Saturday was drunk/hungover. I'm hoping that we just had a bad week. I think we had two bookings in our first season, and one per season since then. Saturday was disappointing, but I'm confident we can put that behind us and get back to winning ways tomorrow. emoticon

Are you definitely coming along Turps?

I thought Turpin would return nice and happy and relaxed, but no. What's up Turps? Didn't you have a nice time with the missus? We looked after your mum and sister whilst you were away, which included dinner, coffee and a pyjama party. Lucky for us, your sister thought it was an Ann Summers party emoticon

By the way, Dan, have you put the pics up on facebook yet?

Forgot that you'd been out. I know for a fact though that Rory didn't go out on Friday night. I'm sure Birtle went out, but I don't think he got too wasted. Actually, thinking about it, the chances of that being true.....

Nah, I've sent them to the BBC and all national newspapers, I'm sure The Sun and The Star will release the pics.

Correct. He staggers, sways from side to side and always kicks the ball off the pitch.
