DIVISION TWO THREAD
Well the fixtures are up we're just over a month away from kick off I reckon we post our thoughts on how we see Div 2 planning out over season, there are 13 teams 3 of them newbies so will be hard to predict but don't let that stop you having a go. I've listed teams and their position last year.
Bristol Pistols - New
BS4 - 11th Div 2
CCC - 6th Div 2
Gordano - 10th Div 2
Hayhill - 3rd Div 2
Hillfields 4th Div 2
Israel - New
Kensington - New
Rock - 6th Div 1
SAS - 8th Div 2
The Sanctuary - 7th Div 2
Welton - 10th Div 1
Widcombe - 5th Div 2
Rock - Obvious favourites 1st
Hillfields Hope to push on and grab a top two finish I have to believe we can. 2nd
Welton - Will be one of favourites to go back up. 3rd
Kensington - Probably best of the the new teams 4th
CCC - Had a great season last year will be in the mix 5th
SAS - need a strong start this time will be in the mix 6th
Bristol Pistols - New team ran by Bruce wil be hard to beat 7th
Hayhill - won't be as strong as last year 8th
Israel - New tem will be impressive at start but fade later 9th
The Sanctuary - Will struggle after losing key players 10th
Widcombe - Will struggle after impressive season 11th
BS4 - Should improve and get points this time. 12th
Gordano - will struggle in tough league 13th
I am guessing with some teams and going on what I know from last year. Also I think points wise although 1st to 7th looks big gap think points will be tight. So 7th ain't bad if your only 5 or so points off of second which like last year it could well be.  Let the controversy begin

Welton to be in mix at the end of season, along with Hillfields and Rock..dependent on Chipping Sodbury availability. 1 of the new'uns will be good. and if CCC can get there best team out week on week they will prob run away with it.
Not sure about Hayhill as supposedly lost lots of players.
I know for a fact BS4 will be much stronger this season. But may struggle to get there best side out all season. Can't see Gordano improving, and finally Widcombe,SAS and Sanctuary are on the up after disappointing seasons previous to last, Securing top signings such as Lumpar could be the key.

Complete guess as don't know what anybody will be like, Bristol Pistols could be amazing, so don't really have a clue.

First post ever on this board, so hello to all.
Having played within the GFA for the last 12 years, and having just signed for Widcombe and seen what they have to offer during training, I would be very surprised to see anything less than a top 6 finish for the Corinthians.

Hello to all,
Some intesting thoughts there Crofty. Not quite so sure why you've shot us down so much. Infact we have signed up several new recruits this summer and have a couple of students coming back from year-out placements, so our squad is looking even stronger than last year.
The league looks like its going to be a very close run thing and I would say the title contenders will be Hilfields, SAS, Welton, CCC - and us (hopefully)! However, I don't know anything about Pistols, Israel or Kensington so any of those could easily be in the mix!
Not sure about Rock, but can merely presume they have dropped a division as they are unable to field the same crop of players as last year.
As for the rest - BS4 looked a lot stronger towards the end of last season and I wouldn't put a mid-table finish past them, whilst Hayhill and Sacturary will be there or there abouts. Gordano will improve on last term and I expect tougher games against them this season.
All in all - it's going to be another cracking season - I can't wait!

We are top of the league...
I won't make any predictions, but it will be interesting to see how last seasons 1st div sides perform, it will also be intreguing as to whether last seasons 2nd div challengers can step up and go one further and I am looking forward to seeing one or two familiar old faces in the new teams.
Oh btw, mid table for BS4 while bringing a few chaps a little closer to the Christian Faith will be very satisfying progress. Let's never forget why we are here.

Neither will i be making any predicitons! Playing BS4 will be very tricky as they are going to get points on the board sooner rather than l8r not the team ideally i wanted to play!! Traditionally Welstock (now welton always start of slowly!!!) not a good omen
But at the end of the day there are no easy games!! in either divisions and if anybody in the squad thinks we just have to turn up and win then they will be in for a shock!! i wont allow any complacency at all!!
Not far away now a month saturday i believe just wana get sum friendlies under my belt now as the training has gone on for a while!!
