Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD
We've got no chance of promotion, can only hope a cup run too salvage our season, hope the draw is kind to us.

Trust me any team with Mark Young playing for them will be bothered about losing!

It's not about the losing as nobody likes losing but not bothered about it as it was a cup game, I know infact that Nigel would rather take the 3 points that be in the quarters of the cup!

POS Team Pld Pts AV/per game
1 Sanc 4 12 3.00

2 SAS 5 11 2.20
4 Widc 5 10 2.00

7 Isra 4 6 1.50
8 Welt 5 5 1.00
9 C3 5 4 0.80
10 Hayh 5 4 0.80
11 Kens 3 1 0.33
13 Pist 4 1 0.25
12 Gord 5 1 0.20
Hope this comes out OK.
I think when determining who's got the best chance of promotion throughout the season, the best way to judge it is by points per game.
As you can see the table on this basis has very few changes, all you can draw from this is BS4 are in a false position too high up, and Rock are too low.
It's quite interesting to note 4 teams are currently averaging 2 points and above per game.
If you look at final tables for most leagues, except the Premiership. 2 points a game will get you promoted.
If you wonder why did i bother, I was bored, as since the clocks have changed these days (work) have been going exceptionally slow!
Anybody got any comments? I'm sure Crofty will have somthing to say. If you do this again at Christmas it really does give you a good idea of people's chances.

POS P PTS

4 Hilf 10 20

9 BS4 12 12
10 C3 10 11

13 Bris 10 1
Just predicted all the games up to christmas, and this is how it came out, think reason BS4 dropped so much is because they have some very tough games coming up until Christmas. Other than that no real surprises, although Israel have creeped up quite nicely. Obviously just predictions so who knows how accurate it is.
What's also quite worrying is Christmas should be the halfway point in a season i think? and only BS4 are due to meet that if no games are postponed. Can see this division lasting till the 2009/10 season aswell as

I did that the other day on Fulltime, hours of fun.
Just for your info we are playing Hayhill this Sat not Gordano so that will be 11 and if you manage to get some players we'll play you on 20th Dec, that would make 12 for us!

Oh yes! Still a bit worrying though as that would still only be 2/13 teams half-way.

Yep but thought about this, we will have played 4 cup games in th time from Sept-Dec. there is only 1 Div2 team left in GFA and NathSAS doesn't sound optomistic about winning their game and only a few Div2 teams will be in the cup and shield semis. Therefore from Jan to April there is technically 4 spare weekends more than before Christmas so should be OK, only problem is whether the weather holds out, any weather cancellations and it could cause problems. But also remember we would have played one more game but our games got cancelled first game of season and they are all scheduled in for the end of the season.
It is important for all Div2 teams to try and sort out some games when they have free weekends, for the majority of weekends only one team is missing out but if like this weekend there are a few then try and sort it, I am trying to get to 12 games by Christmas as I remember weather wasn't the best in Jan last year!

Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD
We've always ended up playing 2 or 3 mid week games at the end of the season and if i'm honest i do enjoy these.
They always seem to be more of a social affair... pub after etc.
