It was only the other day I was telling Len the same thing, Crofty. Atleast I think it was Lenny.

When I play, we smash it up field, knowing i'll chase it and try make something from it. No need to apologise, as I agree. I'm really happy for the team on their past 2 results! I'll be there Saturday, and told Lenny I don't mind being benched as the team have pulled out some great results and haven't needed me there.

Well if they have done that then they are doubly stupid. Firstly for relying on one player and secondly for that player being you ! emoticon

Mwhahaha, funny Eakes. They don't purely rely on me...

Also I wasn't being big headed or anything of the sort!

Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD

It leaves you a point closer to Promotion but 2 points further away from the title.

A good result for us in the Widcombe game V SAS this week as it kept us third by a point and also means Widcombe and Rock have the same games. Looking at the table we have gone from being 3 points behind SAS to a whopping 7 in three weekends. I think that with SAS dropping points the Sanctuary are very much in the driving seat now for the title, however it would take a collapse of massive proportions for SAS not to go up and I think they have proved that they are very consistent this season if we end up being the only team to beat SAS this season then that is some consolation but not much. I see us and Widcombe in the same boat as Liverpool and Chelsea both have to win their remaining 8 or so games and hope Man U loose three which although possible is not very likely. Third would be an improvement on last year and a platform to build on for next season I just hope we can find some form ready for the final. SAS have been about 6 or so seasons this is only our 2nd. However I think whoever comes down will make the 2nd division even more competitive next season and even tougher to get out of. Let’s say BUCU and Santos go down (not saying they will but they are there or there abouts) BUCU beat BSXI and are in a final and Santos are in the GFA final, both divisions are getting a lot tougher and much more competitive. Also Sanctuary and SAS won’t be out of place in Div 1. It’s good for the league that we are seeing a lot more consistency in teams competitiveness.

My Season so far overview of the teams and likely finishing place

Sanctuary – My surprise team of the season, didn’t expect them to be as solid and as dominating as they have been and fully deserve the title, have Ricky onboard has added that missing quality.
SAS – Always a tip for the title but it was always going to be their start which would judge their season and 1 loss in 17 league games says it all.
Hillfields – Below par season but we are still learning a lot and have had new faces come in, if we can get a bit more commitment personnel wise we are a decent team.
Widcombe – Same season as ours perhaps with a bit more commitment they would challenge further up the table but decent season non the less.
Rock – I think they have proved they are in a rebuilding year but they have still been fairly consistent should challenge next year.
Kensington – first season for them a bit like us last year they should be much stronger next season.
C3 – Poor season based on last year I expect them to be much stronger next season.
Israel – Seem to win as many as they’ll lose expect them to be more consistent next year.
Hayhill – Very hard team to break down If they can get a good attack going they could really push a lot of teams
Welton – Poor start but recent form is showing them to be a much better team than their position suggests.
BS4 – Great start and beating us will be massive highlight Ian has done a great job there.
Pistols – I think they may pull it together next year and win more games.
Gordano – Good bunch of lads who enjoy football, I think they have the players if they can find their strengths and believe a bit more in themselves they should get many more points.

Nath, I'm just preparing you for getting the "Div 1 attitude" for next season when you will look down on the poor people of Div 2. emoticon
