Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD
So for many teams this Saturday is the final games of the league season.
It has been a strange season from our point of view, we were bottom after two losses to the top two and on minus 16 goal difference. I think our season was effectively over then although we had chances to go top and stay there at various points however we had no room for error, so when we lost two further games before Christmas it was always going to be tough. However two more wins on Saturday will give us third place and a plus 20ish goal difference which is a great turn around in my book and let’s not forget we have a final still to play.
The plaudits have to go to SAS and Sanctuary though, looking at the table only one loss each all season says it all. If we or Rock win the games on Sat we will be on 45 points or so at the end of the season, that’s enough points to put second place up in the past 3 seasons and sometimes first place. It goes to show how awesome a season the top two have had and will likely only finish 4 points apart.
Next season will be very interesting: BS4 with the guidance of Ian have shown that with a little bit more belief they can challenge at the top, Bristol Pistols have shown in recent weeks they are better than a bottom two team and should move up the table next year. C3 can surely only get better after a poor season after last seasons awesome display. Hayhill are a tough team to breakdown but will need to bolster their strike force to finish higher. Welton have also had a poor season but have pulled out a few good results so they should get it right next season although sounds like they are losing a few players? It looks like Nailsea will be coming down (if they lose sat) and that isn’t a good thing, they are a very good side and will be very much at the top next season. Nor will anyone want to play one out of BUCU and Pip n Jay both are very good sides and have beaten the champions this year. We then have Rock, Hillfields, Widcombe and Kensington. Rock I think will be very dangerous next year as this year they have been blooding a young team and look where they are. Widcombe are very on par with us and have a good chance of promotion if they can play a solid team. Kensington have shown in recent weeks they can be challengers and ourselves will hope for a better start next year.
I am gutted we couldn’t get promotion over the past two seasons as I see next year being a really tough one with all the teams capable of going up and that’s not including any new teams.
Nailsea (Div 1 team last year)
BUCU or Pip n Jay (Div 1 team last year)
Welton (ex Div 1)
Rock (ex Div 1)
Hayhill (ex Div 1)
BS4
Pistols
C3
Hillfields
Widcombe C
Kensington
With Pistols picking up form all these teams are capable of winning.
By my estimations Sanctuary win the league if they win tonight?

Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD
Will be an even stronger division next season, next season can really see us and Hayhill struggling. Unfortunately, losing a few players is never helpful. I hope lenny can find some players to strengthen his squad and wish him and all the church leagues teams every sucess in the future.
No doubt i'll be back at some point, and help out when short. GOOD LUCK ALL and well done to SAS, Sanctuary and Woodies.

You will have to ask him that, he's on here enough!

Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD
Well, you can kid all you want but both BS XI and Woodies know its far from over yet. We could easily have drawn our game last night when at 1-0 up TNS has made a great save. Still a long way to go.
Both finals look to be really good games that could go either way. Crofty has already paid me £10 to rough up the BUCU players on Saturday. Isn't it sad when people go to such lengths.
