Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD

Interesting. BP are a bit unknown but have a couple of ex-BCFA players (Elim & Sanctuary) so should be a good standard.

My tip is watch out for Kensington. I think they're a Div 1 team in disguise based on players they've transferred so far (ex CC and BUCU boys) but it depends on whether tehy can get a strong XI together every week or just a few stalwarts...

Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD

I think as where th three new teams last year started slowly and took a while to get to grips and were a bit unknown. Gordano and BS4 struggling to make a real impact as where us Hillfields showing our inexperience, I think the three new teams this year already have a reputation with the ex BCFA players running them I expect all three teams to be strong only team I can see really struggling is Gordano, with BS4 pushing on and maybe Hope and Hayhill combo may take a while to mix, unless Sanctuary keep their same eleven I can see them finishing near the bottom after losing their best defender and striker to other theams.

Very honest appraisal Rich. Although possibly a bit cheeky given that you are one of the other teams!

For example, you won't find me on here gloating about the fact we've got rid of a big time troublemaker to Woodies

Well to be fair he (TNS) was pretty hopeless at the 6 a side on Saturday. I was in the opposite goal against him and I am pants and we won 3-1 nothing to do with our supirior defence...ah actually it was I had one shot against me an they scored. Anyway maybe you in the same way fergie got shop of hughes ince kanchelskis, thornbury knew TNS was past his prime. emoticon By the way Christy contacted us, I said it was down to my superiour man management but sanctuary didn't like that very much. We'll see tonight if the Sanctuary are still in the hunt!!!

Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD

Change of venue for Sanctuary game v BP.

Believe it or not they are playing at the home of Hillfielfs Park Baptist FC - the Hillfields Rec. This I feel could be seen as saboutage as it will hinder the Hillfields training night as they don't have the goals available.

You don't see Man U hire out Eastlands because the pitch ain't available or Liverpool popping over to Goodison - this is a shocker or all shocks.

Well I guess it will make it easier to watch them. emoticon

Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD

Didn't realise the new teams would be so strong, we have kensington in the cup prelim so will be good to see what they are really like, as they have had an awful lot of hype, lets seee if they can live up to the expectation.

i'll see BP tonight so will give a report on them tomorrow. At first thoughts feel Kensignton will be the stronger of the three.

Rich, I don't think Ben is talking about TNS, but you might be very close to home!!

(Tommy went to Woodies last season, question is who has moved from Thornbury to Bristol??)

Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD

Watched BP and Sanctuary tonight finished 4-3 to The Sanctuary. Goals went like this.
S1-0 BP
S2-0 BP
S2-1 BP
S2-2 BP
S2-3 BP
S3-3 BP
S4-3 BP

Entertaining ending with Sanctuary just edging it. Pistols were slow out of blocks and look like a new team but credit to them never gave up and showed glimmers of class. Sanctuary had most of there team out but looked a little flat and weak, if the can keep a consistent team I think they'll be in the hunt on experience, but sounds like they have an up and down team so they may struggle, I think BP will start slow but in the second half start to gel and get some points. Training was good for us we had 17 turn up which is always nice. emoticon
